About the team
The Centers Operations division is responsible for the day-to-day delivery of the TUMO learning experience across all Armenia centers. The team ensures that students move smoothly through TUMO’s learning model - combining self-learning, workshops, and project labs - while maintaining a structured, supportive, and engaging environment.
The Workshops team facilitates mentor-led sessions that allow students to deepen their skills across our 14 learning targets. These sessions build on the knowledge students gain through self-learning and provide opportunities to apply concepts through hands-on activities and practical projects.
About the position
The AI Workshop Leader is responsible for leading AI workshops within TUMO’s Educational Workshops team in the Centers Operations Division. This role is based in Gyumri and requires a 32-hour workweek across 5 days, which may include weekends depending on the workshop schedule.
Responsibilities
Contribute to and lead AI-focused workshops that make complex concepts accessible to teenagers
Evaluate student work, provide constructive feedback, and archive completed projects
Conduct demonstrations and activities that spark curiosity and creativity in AI
Contribute to testing and improving AI learning activities and curriculum
Keep up with emerging AI tools and techniques, proposing new approaches for student activities
Guide students through brainstorming and prototyping AI-powered project ideas.
Requirements
AI Enthusiast: You're curious about AI and have spent real time experimenting with tools like ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini. You're comfortable with prompting techniques (chain-of-thought, few-shot, etc.) and have a basic understanding of how these models work under the hood (LLMs, tokenization, TTS/STT, etc)
Programming Fundamentals: Comfortable with core concepts (variables, conditionals, loops, API calls). Able to read, edit, and debug small applications. Can make API calls to AI models via terminal, API clients, or simple scripts
Teaching Skills: Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to diverse age groups, facilitate group work, and adapt curriculum pacing based on student needs
Deeper understanding of AI/ML concepts (tokenization, embeddings, fine-tuning, RAG pipelines, etc.)
Intermediate or advanced programming skills - ability to build applications from scratch.
