As part of the engineering team, you'll take ownership of the architecture and performance of the systems behind their products — working closely with product teams to keep things scalable and reliable as the business keeps expanding into new markets. This is a role for someone who enjoys solving hard system-design problems as much as shipping clean, dependable code.
⟢ Responsibilities:
- Partner with product teams to turn user and business requirements into scalable, well-architected backend solutions.
- Own the full lifecycle of web application development, from design through deployment.
- Design and build system architectures that stay fast and reliable as usage grows.
- Write unit and integration tests that catch problems before they reach production.
- Take part in incident response and post-mortems, feeding lessons back into more resilient systems.
- Pitch in on other engineering tasks as the team's priorities shift.
⟢ Requirements:
- Solid grounding in data structures, algorithms, and system design fundamentals.
- 5+ years of hands-on backend development experience with Java / Java Core.
- Practical experience designing and implementing microservices architectures.
- Comfortable working across multiple database technologies — MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, and other NoSQL stores.
- Experience with messaging systems such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or ActiveMQ.
- Working knowledge of AWS and Docker for cloud deployment and containerization.
- Skilled in performance tuning — indexing, partitioning, sharding, and concurrent-programming optimization.
- Hands-on testing experience with JUnit and Mockito.
- Comfortable working within Agile development environments.
